Zoom Teeth Whitening in great yarmouth & Lowestoft

In Dental Practice and at Home

Many people like to whiten their teeth because it gives them a more youthful appearance: dark, discoloured teeth can be very unappealing. It often makes a tremendous difference in how your face looks – many patients feel it gives them immense confidence.

Teeth can become stained or darkened over a period of time due to a number of factors such as age, smoking, drinking tea or coffee, red wine and other dietary habits. If you are brushing and flossing twice a day, but still feel that your smile is not as bright as you would like, then our professional teeth whitening treatment may be of interest to you.

Teeth whitening treatment from The Hopton Dental Practice is a quick, painless and importantly, an affordable process. Our teeth whitening treatment will help you regain your beautiful smile by lightening the shade of your teeth without altering the shape. Results are typically seen within an hour if the chairside procedure is done or after 1-2 weeks if the whitening is to be achieved using a Home-Kit.

We only use dental products that are supported by extensive clinical studies and that we would be happy to have in our mouths. For this reason, we are proud to provide our patients with the tried and tested Whitening Kits only, such as Philips Zoom®.

Brighten your smile in the dental practice in just over an hour with Philips Zoom®

Philips Zoom is not only proven to whiten teeth up to six shades but is also safe. While other whitening products can harm teeth and gums, using Philips Zoom with Relief ACP gives you more magnificent lustre and protects enamel.

Philips Zoom is only available at our dental chairside option to ensure optimum safety, and it comes in different treatment types and strengths to fit your lifestyle and sensitivity.

You will first be booked for a consultation with the dentist who will need to assess your teeth to make sure that you are suitable for the treatment. The dentist may advise you to do a hygienist session before the procedure. Once it has been agreed, a whitening session usually takes about one hour. During this procedure, a rubber dam is put over your teeth to protect the gums, and a bleaching product is painted onto your teeth. Then a light is shone on the teeth to activate the chemical. The light speeds up the reaction of the whitening product, and the colour change can be achieved more quickly. This whitening technique is said to make teeth up to six shades lighter in just over an hour. This process is carried out in the Dental Practice, followed by a top-up home kit that would need to be used continually to maintain the whiteness. Sometimes several whitening sessions may be required, depending on your teeth.

Brighten your Smile at Home using Home-Kit – Designed to use at Home

Your first step when getting your teeth whitened is an initial consultation with your dentist to ensure you are dentally fit for whitening treatment before we begin. If so, a dental impression is then taken, and custom trays made from this impression and so that your new trays fit your teeth exactly. For optimum results, this will ensure that you get a very even and thorough coverage of gel on your teeth whilst wearing your trays. Finally, we will show you how to use your new whitening trays and gels at home as well as provide you with ‘instructions for use and aftercare’ to take away. As a guideline, we advise that it usually takes up to 7 to 10 days to see any noticeable effects of treatment and the level of whiteness you achieve will depend on your diet and the porosity of your teeth.
