REGULAR DENTAL CHECK-UP IN GREAT YARMOUTH AND LOWESTOFT
Perhaps the most important thing, with least inconvenience, that you can do to keep your Oral health in pristine condition is to visit your dentist regularly.
With regular visits to the dentist, routine dentistry (in the form of regular dental check-ups, digital x-rays and dental hygiene appointments) allows us to help you look after and make the most of your teeth. Such regular dental examinations will pick up any dental problems before they worsen. This also means you can potentially avoid fillings and extractions, which can end up being costly, not to mention the risk of loss of teeth.
So that our patients can smile with confidence and keep dental problems at bay, we provide routine dental check-ups with the dentist and six-monthly hygiene visits with the hygienist.
Prevention is always a better choice than a cure, so they say!
Please note, you do not need a referral anymore for a Dental hygienist visit, feel free to call our reception desk on 01502 732124 to book an appointment today, or fill in the online form, and we will contact you
What to expect during your dental check-up :
- A thorough examination of your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks and tongue.
- We will conduct an oral cancer screening at every check-up appointment and feel around your neck and jaw to make sure everything is healthy.
- We will ask you questions about any problems or pain you’ve had since your last check-up.
- We will give you advice on things you can do to improve your oral health, such as recommendations on your diet, how to brush, oral hygiene, etc.
Your dentist may also need to take an x-ray of your teeth to check for any hidden problems, such as decay and bone loss due to gum disease.
